How to Create Content that Converts to Profits

You and I both know the power social media provides for brand and consumer connections. Your day one followers and new potential customers can comment on your reels/post, send direct messages, and purchase your your products straight from Instagram shops. But are you set up to for stroll stopping content and marketing efforts that result in sales?

One key is to include your social media content in your digital marketing strategy, just as you would in traditional marketing tactics. This is usually the beginning of a sales funnel.

So, Let's work!

1. Create content that resonates

Consider using:

  • Emotions. Use emotional language to motivate consumers to share your social media content, leave a comment, or make a purchase.

  • Storytelling. Add a relatable, human element to your Instagram content so potential customers connect with your message.

  • Education. Provide resources and information that genuinely help your target audience (not just the stuff that positions you as a thought leader).

  • Lifestyle. Give viewers an exclusive look at life behind the scenes or what things look like from your perspective.

2. Consider different types of content

Use all the social media tools and features provided to you. They are there because the system wants you to use them, if you don't Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Tik Tok have nothing to measure. So, put yourself in the loop, consistently. And do not be discouraged if you do not get immediate engagement. It will come to you, if you make yourself available to do so.

Just make sure the content is worth there 3 seconds.

There are several ways to do this on Instagram:

  • Feed posts. A post that publishes to your Instagram profile and the Instagram feed includes a single photo post, a carousel post (up to 10 photos), or a video clip.

  • Instagram Stories. A single Instagram Story is 15 seconds of content that disappears after 24 hours, unless you save it to your profile via Highlights, which stay indefinitely. Instagram Stories are a great way to grab users’ attention, nudging them to engage with your brand. You can post up to 100 Stories per day!

  • Instagram Reels. Reels are a newer Instagram video feature that can help expand your brand reach since it’s not limited to those who follow your profile. Put short video clips together to create a piece that’s up to 1-minute long.

  • IGTV. If you have longer video content, IGTV videos can be up to 60 minutes in length and can be viewed from your Instagram profile.

  • Instagram Live. Encourage Instagram engagement by using the Live feature at any time.

3. Provide supercharged content

Useful content is the heart of all successful marketing strategies today. Once you have targeted your dream customer this should be like talking to your best friend and giving her all the tea, gems, and inside scoop.

Giving is the biggest key to converting post to sales. You do this by:

  • Being the authority. Meaning you can hold you own in your specific niche because you literally know what you're talking about. And you are confident about it.

  • Be informative. 9 times out of 10, your customers are coming to you because they have questions ( why should I shop wit her, Is her website legit, is shipping quick, Does she have what fashion Nova has, Is she easily accessible to make an appointment.) even in e-commerce. Don't make paying customers work too hard, you should've already answered those questions some where on your website, IG bio, or post/highlight. Research the questions they may have and give them everything you've got to gain their trust, that's where the money resides!

4. Meet you audience where they are

Here are some facts.

  • 80% of audiences would rather watch a livestream than read a blog post

  • 82% of audiences would rather watch a livestream than see a social media post

  • 67% of audiences who watched a livestream bought a ticket to a similar event the next time it happened

You do the math! You have to be present, girl!

My motto is watch what Beyoncé or Ming Lee is doing and then meet her there!

SN: I use to say then come at her neck but, that's a lil' rough. I love that woman! lol

5. Be the you that makes happy you happy first

If society hasn't taught us anything else, it has taught us what it looks like to be fake even if it's only online. You have to have a real love for what you're providing in some way shape or form.

For example, the owner of Pretty Little Thing is a man. I imagine that money was always the goal but, he loves women and how good they look in nice things so, he made a living just being him.

Show up in way that makes you comfortable but, also marketable. We're not re-inventing the wheel. so go, stalk you favorite brand and then make it your own.

The moral this story is you ( someone in your company) have to be social to make some money. Even if you just run Facebook ads, the best ads that convert are real life videos. Your customer needs to see how your product or service fits into their life.

Now, go be great! Meet you at the top!
